In Overwatch it seemed like the guys with Chinese/Korean names were always a death sentence to your comp score. I wasn’t exactly in a high bracket as it is, so when I saw those characters I’d be dreading the inevitable loss that was coming, because nearly every single time, they’d join in pairs or trios, cutting off a third to half of our team communication because they would just stay completely silent the entire game (most of them did know english and had mics as they would often berate and blame the rest of the team for losing). Then they would pick the least optimal character they could, or even a situation-vital character (a push tank when we needed to push, a flanker when the other team had a weak backline etc) and then sit and do absolutely nothing for the entire match, or constantly feed the other team ultimate charge. And for some reason these guys were always on MY team, never my opponents…
So while some people see this meme as “Oh sweet, the asian guy’s here, we’re gonna kick ass now”, I just see it as “Oh great, the asian guy’s here to derank and handicap us to be a trolling dick.”
Funny thing is we bow down in fear when he enters the match in a Chinese username, but translating it reads to “gamingpro3678”. Same thing happens except someone joins with an English username that reads the same thing, we laugh at him and call him a noob. Ironic.
Funny story. Me and my squad are getting kills and we won. The mic was full of celebrating noises and they thank the Chinese guy with no mic. Meanwhile I have the most kills and revives while also having the most assist because I’m a team player. I even gave them some healing supplies. No one appreciated my work.
Lol that’s pretty ironic

i don’t know what that means, but i assume it translates to “bigdong69”
It reads “thelegend27”. You’re welcome.
I still remember that fight in Trials of the Nine in Destiny 2, where after 5 wins in a row, we met a Chinese squad…
What is this garbage?
Take your ass to bed!

I’m Yoda literally every time I play Monster Hunter World.
**Bòfàng qì = Player***

I’ve literally never had this happen.

Maybe it’s just fps games, but I had an opposite effect
When a silent player is playing or if the name is either japanese or just player i just get worried
Name at top means don’t know in Chinese
Our guy had a bunch of numbers as a name. We called him numbers, he listened to orders and was very good. Never typed or talked.
He’s either a god at the game or a cheating jerk. There is no middle ground.
Dark souls
播放器 means player, but not player as in game player.
It’s more of media player / MP3 player / speaker set of some sort (software or physical player).
I was very confused why someone would call themselves speaker / media player in an online game, until I realised it translates to “player”.
Monster Hunter gang roll call!!!!!
