Omg I’m suddenly remembering this game!! Holy hell the nostalgia.
I loved these games as a kid. I had a controller that had a switch to toggle rapid fire. Itâs turn the gun in to a minigun. I beat them all countless times while jamming out to 90s rock.
I vividly remember a mission waiting for trash trucks to turn a certain direction to see if they had trash or plutonium in the back.

You know what I would’ve wanted? Red Shark (the helicopter game from the 2000s) when you search it you might not come across it right away but I used to love that game as a kid.

You could try Brigador on steam, it have similar vibe. Not the same game, but still pretty good.

Jungle was my first one and man I still love the intro song. Shit gets me HYPED.
the snes version was better because you could use the shoulder buttons to strafe

here’s how it works. the emulator is free, the games are sold as DLC. when Steam Sales happen they go on sale for extremely cheap. the emulator has support for the Steam Workshop. you can download more games from the Workshop. Desert Strike is among those. for Desert Strike you’ll need to buy Golden Axe III.

Me and my best friend at the time used to play this constantly !!!
He had a megadrive and i had SNES so we stayed at each others houses all the time and played games like this.

Bring all five of them while at it. I have yet to do substantial playthroughs of Soviet and Nuclear, but collection on Switch might compel me to replay the earlier three again, too. Jungle and Urban were especially memorable.
