I just finished watching it and I found this to be one of the most memorable part about the film.

    >!The abduction scene was pretty scary. Possibly the only part of the UAP topic i’m not interested in learning more about the next few years.!<

I enjoyed. It was different, which is refreshing. My only critique is the same for all his movies. He tries to cram too much into them.

I personally liked it. I might be biased because I enjoy Peele’s work, but Nope was probably his best film yet. It reminded me of an old monster movie, there was a good mix of horror, action, comedy, and I think all of the actors did wonderful. Artistically, it was new, a good new, I got the messages that it was trying to get across

Definitely a favorite (Also, I agree that scene was absolutely horrifying as someone with claustrophobia)

I think Nope is Jordan Peele’s worst movie. It has very big plot holes and strange choices about who to focus on and who doesn’t get enough screen time. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot to like but certain choices Peele made broke to movie for me.

I loved it. It was a unique take on UFO Sci-fi, especially with the big revelation. I also loved how he worked some elements into making some scenes even tenser than you’d think they’d be (Sunglasses at Night can be kinda haunting at a certain speed.)

It’s not perfect tho, and I do feel a big failure of the movie is that a plot point feels disjointed from the rest of the film. I understand why it was done, and it was shocking, but it just kinda took me out the film for a few minutes how it was implemented.

The rest was superb, however. Chemistry between OJ and Em was fantastic, the setting was perfect, supporting cast shined and it was just a great watch. One of my top movies of the year.

Couldn’t get through it, tedious pace, nothing happens, might of made it further through if Keke’s character was not nauseatingly obnoxious. My takeaway, Peele is highly overrated.

I didn’t care for it. I found the set up to be really good (the whole “how far will people go to get that thrill” idea is neat), yet I feel the movie prolongs itself. It takes too long to really get going and certain moments don’t hit at all which didn’t help the pacing of the film. The structure was odd, but I don’t get why Peele went with that structure.

To me, Nope, felt like a film akin to Tremors, but in last second the writers and director decided to try to add depth to the film. At points it feels like a slow burn, but I don’t get why the film went that route, then it’s a thriller, but then it’s disjointed. Again, some things just didn’t work and I can’t help but feel that it’s Peele wanting to elevate what should’ve been a straightforward thrill ride.
