The creepy floating ghost-fetus from Witcher 3 still gives me nightmares.
Manhunt, just as a whole.
The ~~last guy you kill~~ Piggsy (with the chainsaw, before you go after the director) was specifically brutal.
Finding out everything was a lie in FFX. My poor boy Wakka.
What game is the original picture from, it looks very familiar. Breath of Fire maybe?
I’d maybe say Bloody Barons quest from The Witcher 3
Ah, BoF4โฆ*okayish* times
Alundra, the scenes with the priest (Rowan?) And the young girl Sybil I think she was called. Playing through this game as a very young boy was quite shocking to me. I didnt expect what happened at all.
Lisa Garlandโs fate in the original Silent Hill. Damn that was chilling and actually gave me nightmares
Oh goodness when they pulled her blanket back THAT was a hell of a story to digest, definitely up there on the impactfulness scale. If it wasn’t this, then likely the concept of Death Knights in World of Warcraft. To have to lose your own family to war and then see their reanimated corpse now fighting you in the name of the guy that slayed them? Heartbreaking.
Joel after seeing Sarah die in his arms in The Last of Us on Ps3. Shit was well acted/Motion captured, truly gave me chills
Learning the secret behind “Something” in OMORI
The body modification scene in Quake 4. It hit me so hard that i couldnt even go further in the game. Maybe even had some nightmares with it.
Fable. Learning who the Seer is and how she ended up with the bandits was pretty brutal.
Love me some bof4
A student, Shiho, jumping off the roof of the school to try and kill herself due to sexual harassment and physical abuse by a teacher.
Persona 5 gets real dark real quick.
Suikoden 2, oink oink…
Dead Space. All of it. Shit’s fucked.
Wonโt spoil it since it just came out on consoles, but the end of Persona 4 during and after the โHeavenโ dungeon. One of the few times I actually cried playing a game.
At the top of my head, The 15 door from trails in the sky 3. …poor >!Renne!<.
