Because it isn’t super clear in OP’s post, the game is 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors; also sold as one of the games in the Zero Escape: The Nonary Games bundle.
Fantastic game.
The fact that they managed to port 999 from the DS to PC even though it kinda needed the DS to work was impressive.
The whole franchise is a trip.
In context scene: the characters in the game are all assigned a number and decide to take code names to hide their identity based on that number. White haired kid is assigned the number 3, so he takes the code name “Santa”, because san is the Japanese word for 3. Santa isn’t his real name.
As a rule, if a post on r/gaming just says “this game is x” i always downvote. Its very little effort saying, e.g. “[game title] has great X but lacks in Y”
It also has great in context scenes. Just a great game really (999 on DS). The sequel (Virtue’s Last Reward) is even better! Best we forget it’s a trilogy, unfortunately…

This one is an incredible game, a masterpiece. One of the most memorable game I have played and I have played alot.
