This functional mic has been with me since late 90s. I’m retiring it today. Goodbye old friend!

I have this same mic. Think I’ve used it since Windows 95
These things give me mild PTSD. Somehow it was always the desk mic people that couldn’t be asked to use push to talk.
Yes, I would be pleased to hear everything that goes on in your entire house as well as every keystroke and click…

I tossed mine after determining it was worse than a crappy headset mic
I had one just like that, but with a different branding.
I’m still clinging onto my ancient Logitech speakers, they’re about 20 years old and still going strong
Does is smell like beer and cheetos?
I had one of those! Died a long long time ago
i can hear “please dont kick me my parents wont get cable internet i just want play please!” by looking at this picture
I used this exact model of microphone to record my first song, “Chicken Tenders.” It was incredibly well received by critics on my school bus. My follow up release “Farty Butt” was polarizing, garnering acclaim from younger fans but falling flat with older listeners, particularly those hearing my work for the first time. The Labtec NCAT, when paired with the classic Sound Blaster 16 input card, was responsible for the unique timbre of my vocals, particularly during the “eating” outro to “Chicken Tenders.” The technique of placing the entire boom microphone into one’s mouth was emulated greatly in the late 90’s, but was replaced by AutoTune closer to the turn of the century.
I also had this same mic. It always had a really loud hum to it.
I had that mic growing up! 1 year later the bottom mount broke and the cord was so long i wrapped it around the back of my neck, and top of my ear to hang down my face in front of my mouth.
Just don’t throw it away!!!
Good old 90’s brownish yellow made-in-china tech, haha I’m loving it!!
AoE II times…
Wonder what that sounded like in games
Ahhh, the ol’ smokers off white. Who decided that everything computer was supposed to be this color
Things haven’t been the same since tech companies discovered planned obsolescence.
All your friends on Discord and Teams thank you for upgrading.
