They got their use out of those swimming pool skimmers and neon lights
And yes there’s more…

At [6:02](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phPp5oYnps0&t=362s), the console with dual joysticks (on the left) also shows up in [Community S02E04](https://youtu.be/7BdMIIg4UMA?t=77). Which is funny because the Community episode is also about shitty 80s props.

Interesting video here on the prop’s creator.

Lower decks is clearly meeming the meme 😀
Until the TNG cast showed up, ngl, I thought it was some parody movie I never heard of.
I remember a show on either Discovery or History that had an episode that featured a bunch of these and the prop house that carries them. It might have Boneyards on History. There was also this huge flat piece suopported at like a 45 degree angle that had a backlit hexagonal yellow plastic front on it that I remember seeing in a bunch of random Sci-Fi shows, like Stargate and I think Voyager, and whenever I see it, I will always point at the screen [like Leo](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/033/487/rick.jpg).
Kind of want to make a scale model of this now.
Nice. thank you for this.
Anyone know what its called ?
Surely its called something when they’re taking stocks, or when a production wants to rent it.
maybe something mundane like “Dual-Tube 56” ?
When you steal content, at least have the decency to tell the viewers where you stole it from.
Cool
That thing is the [Wilhelm Scream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNvZYzg7o68) of props; shows up in all the movies and once you notice it, you’ll never miss it.
Centauri? Ah, I might have known.
