The cancellation of this show was a crime.
Peaches and plums, motherfucker…
I had to give up on this show in the second season which is a shame because the books are genuinely very good.
I miss Eliot the most. Hale Appleman was so amazing on this show!
ETA: I also remember thinking the first time I watched this number that the writers did a remarkable job parsing the lyrics to the cast members to not only fit their characters’ storylines but also work with their singing voices. Like giving primarily spoken word parts to the non-singers.
This show had a few fun music numbers like this. Sad it got cancelled.
While this might be the one I rewatch the most, that Take On Me scene is a killer…
Jade Tailor (Kady) is soo good in the musical episodes
They should have done a musical number every season. This was very good and actually raised my opinion of the show.
I really wanted to like this show. I like a lot of stuff like it (Librarians & Warehouse 13 and other drama/adventure/mystical stuff), but it really fell apart for me when they all went over to the magic place for so long. It kinda got dragged out and stopped making sense to me. Maybe it was a little too YA drama for me.
Olivia Dudley is great. [Too bad this happened to her.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnFbsxS-thw)
Damn why you wanna go and remind me how much I miss Magicians
“Hey remember when Buffy did a musical episode? Let’s do that!”
– Ryan Murphy, after snorting all the coke, probably
Such an amazing scene from a show that started off amazingly strong before sputtering out.
I miss that show
Greatest SYFY show ever! Margo & Elliot are the dream teams
I loved this series so much, season 3 was peak. Every episode was amazing, (except maybe one that was only good) and the musical episode was in the top 3.
This song was the highlight of the episode, and I think one of things I loved about it was the range of singers. Like singers who were ok like Margo and Quentin to freaking amazing singers like Eliot and Kady. It made it feel more real in a sense, which is silly to want in a magic show but still.
Tied for the best episode along with the one where Elliot and Quinn spend a lifetime together building a tile mosaic.
This show was so good. It sucks that it kind of died after one actor left the show.
Whenever I try and get people to watch this I tell them it’s like R rated Harry Potter in college and no wands.
This song and Take On Me were done beautifully.
is it worth to try this show?
