Yep.
You’re about 5+ years too late on this meme pal.
This is true. Keanu Reeves played Bowser.
Ha! This still gets brought up every now and then? Nostalgic.
Well yeah, Super Mario Bros 2 outside of Japan was a dream, so that didn’t really happen either.
But then again we can go argue the reality of Paper and Yarn characters to the point the whole conversation seems silly.
Next you’ll tell me that Altered Beast was a play
This is well known
So of the three original US SMB games, only the original actually happened, because 2 was a dream.
TBF I’ve never been in any danger while playing any of the other Mario games either.
Miyamoto confirmed this
This post presupposes without evidence that koopas could not murder Mario whilst he’s in a theater
I remember this ConnerTheWaffle video that theorised that most of the games in the Mario franchise are just movies except for certain exceptions such as the first game and Galaxy. It’s pretty interesting.
Mario 2 was a dream, Mario one was a- well that mightve been real actually. Sure the bowsers in each castle were fake until the final one, but thats about it.
Biggie Smalls finishing Super Mario Bros 2: “It was all a dream!”
Even though you only see the curtains in that one, all of the main Mario games are staged. The characters are all actors playing different roles, which is why sometimes they’re all go karting or playing tennis together like they’re good friends. Shigeru Miyamoto said in [an interview in 2012](https://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/09/10/miyamoto-tezuka-interview.aspx) that this is how he views the characters
Technically it’s exit stage left.
When on stage the directions are flipped. But ya know, who cares about details, right?
Well then, this audience member killed that actor, about 9 million times.
Stage left
2 was a dream.
I mean if we are looking at the OG trilogy, the first game was the only one where Mario was in danger.
SM1: Mario legit goes to the Mushroom Kingdom and beats Bowser
SM2: Was a messed up dream that involved many who he encountered in SM1.
SM3: A play Mario wrote inspired by what happened in SM1.
Subsequently, they all became friends after a while which is why they go golfing together.
Welcome to 1990
So every time I fell off stage, Mario just crashed into the orchestra pit.
I knew this due to my ability to see things with my eyes in 1988
Mario 2 was a dream.
We’ve known this since we were 10 years old. It’s set on a stage.
Mario is a paid crisis actor serving the deep state of the Mushroom Kingdom.
