The Walking Dead game has that same vibe when you don’t shoot the woman and you hear her screaming for what feels like an absurdly long time to a point where it gets uncomfortable

For those who dont know: imagine a talking puppy being ripped apart limb by limb. It kinda feels like that.

Im a 30y/o male, I love slasher films, regularly listen to bands with names like Visceral Disgorge and Short Bus Pile Up, fancinated with media involving live surgeries, and this scene…this fucking scene…had me crying and nauseous.

My reaction when me and my ex played this game I remember freaking out like wtf didn’t expect that. It’s different when you don’t expect it.

For those who want some context:

    >!Mom and dad getting divorced got magically shrunk, and somehow they thought they could come back to normal if they make their daughter even more miserable, by breaking her favorite toy!<

anyone got any other games like this cause i really enjoyed the entire storyline for this game and the style of the game

My wife and I had so much fun playing this game. We already played it twice and switched roles.
I recommend every couple to try playing this game regardless if you’re gamers or not.

The reaction to this is always so strong that it makes me feel like I must be crazy. Me and my fiancée played this and thought this part was hilarious but people often comment in a way that makes them sound genuinely disturbed by this scene lol

Awesome game, captures the imaginative wonder you have as a kid with how everything was made to look. But ya this scene hurt, didn’t want to, but that’s the only way to progress the game. And the whole cheering their daughter on to cry was horrid too.

The section with the squirrels was my favorite. Boss fight took us over an hour because near the end it glitched, wouldn’t highlight what you could attack and it wouldn’t register anything we did. I blame how late it was for how long it took us to realize and reset the fight

Its fucked up for sure, but I keep seeing people call it bad writing when I actually think it fits, and I think they are more upset that their own feelings aren’t conveyed by the characters.

My boyfriend and I just had to sit there begging the game to let us do something else. We sat there hoping our characters could rethink their choices if we gave them a moment. We were so wrong 🥲

This stopped us from continuing to play. We already hated the main characters, but this just made us physically sick.

Hilarious scene, I didnt have the game but friends had it were cracking up when they sent a link on YouTube!

This is cartoon chop chop fun like Happy Tree Friends 😂

I think the one gaming scene that many struggled with (me included) was the torture sequence in GTA5 where as Trevor you have to make that one guy talk.

You all know what I’m on about.

Holy shit I was looking for a co-op game to play with my wife, I was considering this game… thanks for posting this, after reading the comments it’s a hard fuck no

I played through this game with my cousin. (Friends weren’t interested) and we had such a good time. (He was May, I was Cody)

I loved It Takes Two until this scene. It genuinely ruins the game for me. After this point the 2 main characters were irredeemable as far as I was concerned. It just comes out of nowhere and is so disturbing for no reason. My wife and I wanted to stop playing. I can’t even imagine a kid playing it and seeing that scene. Maybe I’m being ridiculous, but it’s a huge blemish on an otherwise great game.

I know the devs said it was suppose to be a black comedy moment but it really messed with the story arc for me.

The fact there absolutely no sense of “are we baddies?” during or even after the scene whilst the suddenly start becoming agreeable later just ruined the pacing of their character development.

After seeing comments talk about it, I just had to see it for myself. It was like some kind of morbid curiosity. >!Having watched it, I feel absolutely horrible. I also read an interview with one of the writers of the game, where they talk about this scene in detail and why they decided to put it in and make it the way it is.!<

    >!Having read that, I can say that, while I understand what they were going for, I still feel absolutely horrified. The way the music is childlike, yet distorted and uneven in its tempo, the pure innocence of the elephant, pleading to just be friends or to play jump rope just before being pushed off a ledge – It’s the perfect recipe for a horrendous, pointless tragedy of a scene. !<

    >!Again, I get what they were trying to do, but I totally understand the people that either stopped playing the game or see the parents as irredeemable after witnessing that. I myself feel very discouraged from playing the game myself knowing I would have to put myself through that horror again.!<
