Since Diablo IV is coming soon, I decided to play the PS1 Diablo to see if I’m any good at it, then I’ll play Diablo II for the first time and replay Diablo III.

Just played the last few hours of IV. Never played the others but friends convinced me to try it out. Pretty fun game. I prefer to play with friends than solo though
Diablo 1 on PS1 is an infinitely worse experience than any version of D2 Resurrected. You’re torturing yourself here.
Diablo one was harsh as fuck. Diablo 2 is far superior of an experience
Diablo 1 kicks ass for a lot of reasons, but I have *no* idea what the PS1 version is like. That could easily be a total garbage fire.
You need a teammate or two, or you need to hack.
Once you play through and understand the itemization progress and diversity of D2, you’ll understand why D3 was such a major step back loot-wise.
And yet somehow, they did the exact same thing for D4. Nothing you do in the early game matters for D3/D4, whereas I’m still looking at so many items in D2 200 hours in and I’m still using an amulet I found 160 hours ago.
Diablo IV is going to be mobile-only? that’s what everybody wants, no? mobile only…
mobile gaming is such a joy….
You should play it on PC with DevilutionX. It has some added niceties like running in town, auto pick up of gold and getting all quests in one play through.
Be prepared to get stuck on D2 – in a good way.
Trust me, you do not want to move to D3 or D4 🙂
