PEAONS! Assemble!
I like this version because it lead me to [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8ejeEBlDESc).
RIP
Saw him and his acapella band The Blanks like, 12 years ago while I was at Uni here in the UK, they were fantastic, really engaged with the crowd. RIP
The Blanks’s cover of [Somewhere Overe the Rainbow](https://youtu.be/flVcaAJoORQ) is also really good. Sam’s [duet with Kate Micucci](https://youtu.be/dLTcO8BoTPw) is also hella cute.
I’ll die on the hill that the first few seasons of Scrubs were the best sitcom ever.
Definitely one of my favorite scenes from the show, mostly because Ted gets to shine during it!
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed right now.
Well, it’s time to rewatch the show.
When your show is so successful, and you’ve got enough pull with the studio to budget in a fully paid episode in the islands, you’ve made it in Hollywood
RIP
sam lloyd is one of the reasons why scrubs is on repeat forever.
Ted was a real one. R.i.p
So wait, Sam Lloyd is the one who originally did the acoustic rendition, not Oblidiah Parker?
Weird song to have playing when all these couples seem to pledge their eternal, undying love for each other.
“Y’all don’t wanna hear me, you just wanna dance”
The show is great. The song is great. Of course Sam Lloyd is great.
But it’s the opposite of a love song
I wish you could boing fwhip cancer.
Love this version
That was a great episode
Thanks for everything, Sam. Sincerely.
Hey Ya, a melancholy song hiding in plain sight. The energy is so sad delivered in sheep’s clothing.
R.I.P.
Even more tragic is this episode was filmed in hope town Bahamas. I stayed there for a week in 2013 and hurricane dorian practically destroyed the island in 2019 including the house I stayed at.
My wife and I binged this 8ish years ago when we first started dating. I hit her with the “I love you more than Turk” line every now and then.
🥺❤️ beautiful voice. What a talent. Loved watching him. RIP Sam.
Thank you for posting never saw this beautiful ending.
I remember when I first saw this episode I searched high and low for a proper recording of Sam’s cover of this song. Never found it. And now I guess I never will.
Just in case it didn’t already make it in here, the original version of this cover was done by the king, Obadiah Parker, and you should [check it out](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c745E7T_Wvg)
I love Ted
I’ve got a Sam Lloyd story! His singing group the Blanks performed at my small town university in Tahlequah, OK. Afterwards they came to the restaurant I worked at to have dinner. My friends and I were big Scrub’s fans so I was nominated to go to their table, after they were done eating, and ask if we could buy them drinks.
He said yes. We hung out, had beers, and George Miserlis kept hitting on all the girls we were with. Sam Lloyd was very nice and the Blanks were cool guys, very personable. Afterwards we all took a group picture holding saltine crackers. And yes, I have proof. If anyone cares I can try and post a link to the pic. Thanks for reading!
Thanks for reminding me about this.
I remember learning, around when he died, that he was an exceptionally talented musician. This cover is no surprise. Very enjoyable.
RIP Sammy boy
We miss you, Sam. 💕
I vividly remember this from when I was a kid. Love this song/cover.
I saw “the blanks” in concert and honestly it was one of the most fun concerts I’ve ever been too.
Rip Sam Lloyd ya legend
I wish it was the whole song and I could buy it somewhere.
Man, I remember the summer Obidiah Parker’s cover was released. He recorded it here in the Phoenix area, so it got a ton of radio play here. Loved that Sam did it in the show.
I like so many songs from this show. And because it’s not something I would normally listen to it’s very specific to a time in my life.
Kind of interesting… Not only does he have a right handed guitar that he is playing left handed, it’s actually strung for a right-hander, so he has to finger all the chords backwards from what you’d normally do.
You can see the pickguard on the top, where it would normally be on the bottom when playing the “correct” way. And if you look closely at the strings, the thickest strings are on the bottom, where they would normally be on the top.
I miss Sam Lloyd.
Was so bummed when he died. Also bummed now. RIP
