Famke! Sean Bean!
I have to imagine that Femke and Bean are in this to try and give it some mainstream reach but SS wasn’t really relevant outside of Japan, Latin America and some parts of W. Europe.
And I have to imagine most fans would prefer 3d animation like that movie from some years ago which looked pretty damn good, so it’s hard to see the audience for this.
This is likely not going to be any good unfortunately, I would say. My wife said that’s Sonny Chiba’s son we mostly see, though. I guess he’s been in quite a bit.
This looks a lot like the anime Knights of the Zodiac, but it couldn’t be that, because there was no Bowling for Soup in the trailer.
I swear like almost every single live action anime ever made uses this same style and vibe and they all suck. The Rirouni Kenshin movies are the only live anime I’ve ever seen that were actually good.
omg was that Sean Bean?
Doesn’t look terrible TBH. Looks about on par with something like Mortal Engines or that Pacific Rim sequel when it comes to production value. And that’s a step forward for Chinese action cinema. Feels like they’re not too far away from having their own self-sustaining film industry that doesn’t lean on western imports as much if this is what the average product is going to look like.
White-washing Saint Seiya????
I’m still watching this shit. That’s a bold move! Fingers crossed it’s a good film!
I reall don’t want this one to be a major disappointment. It looks sooo goood!!
