I worked for the founder of EA, Tripp Hawkins. My cube was literally around the corner from his at 3DO. He was cool like that, he had a cube instead of an office and invited the whole company to his house for a pool party. We had fresh fruit and coffee every morning; Friday afternoons the entire company got drunk on good beer and margaritas (*we had company margarita machines*), with snacks- on his dime. Every week. The WHOLE company. My son was born while I worked there; I didn’t have to pay a cent and he was born at Lucille Packard at Stanford, the best children’s hospital in the country.
That guy is cool AF, and I’ll fight anyone that says different

Ya know. With all the issues with other companies, EA is just greedy asf. I haven’t heard of workplace problems or allegations of anything other than putting companies on the chopping block for not making 100mill every game. Kinda hard to betray trust when you never had it to begin with.

Are they doing anything wrong financially? I mean they hit top ten almost if not every single year on their games.
Personally I don’t like their business practices so I don’t buy their games but other love their games and keep buying them. Hell even Madden/Fifa is like one of their best sellers. So what’s the problem? If there was a problem they would be losing money and not making MORE!
It’s almost like…the consumer has all the power to make a change but they are addicted to shelling out their money willingly.
