Man, I really thought he’s be touring for another 5-10 years. He always seemed so healthy for his age. Sigh.
Most people only know his big hits, but he wrote a lot of deep, introspective, music as well. I think that’s part of the appeal of Jimmy; his music was autobiographical and he wrote all parts of his personality into his music. They party guy, the father, the son, the wistful ex-lover, the average guy. His music really dives into the wide array of emotions and the ups and downs of his life – and thus ours.
Miss you Jimmy! RIP.

Thank you for sharing! My mom was an absolute parrot head. It always brings me joy. Phases of my life I resented it of course. it was my first concert when I was 5. We were going to go to his upcoming tour last October but my mom unexpectedly passed away right before. Her celebration of life was even parrot head themed! I was going to go to the concert with family in celebration and then he canceled, understandably. Maybe corny, but shit life moves fast.
Here is a picture of her with JB wearing a shirt that says “future parrot head ⬇️” and that’s me in her belly ☺️❤️ (so maybe this was my first concert?! Haha)
