This is a good album.
Pelican is so bad ass.
Amazing album. I heard it’s getting a remaster soon
my fav song from them. 🙂 the reentry to heavy riffs after the acoustic part is simply amazing
Absolute classic
Pelican is so good. Their 2nd album The Fire in Our Throat Will Beckon the Thaw is one of my all time favorites.
Amazing. When will they tour again?
I used to really enjoy Pelican, they still making new music?
Glimmer, March to the Sea, Full Moon Black Water, autumn into summer
This album is so fucking 🔥
[Pelican – The Creeper](https://youtu.be/C2EhFEs2hj4) is also pretty great.
Before, and probably until the next release… Pelican was the Chicago area band. They played *everywhere* with everyone. I bought their first ep on cdr from clubhouse records for $5, and within 2 years you couldn’t avoid them locally if you tried.
Double door show? Pelican was there. Weird emo show at dupage college? Pelican. ISIS support? Yep….they were on the bill. No guess at how many times I saw them during this time period.
I think this is still my favorite release of theirs, and drought is probably still my favorite track, even with the best riff totally being lifted from a Goatsnake song.
I’ve never gotten in to metal, which is my fault not anything bad about the genre, but I’ve listened to this song hundreds of times. Just undeniably great.
Top 5 all time for sure. I fucking love Pelican.
