This iteration of the turtles really got my attention, the teaser had a lot of heart. With all the different styles in the past 10-15 years I’m really hoping this one is a hit and becomes a movie franchise with sequels…
    cant wait!!!

I love how the Ninja Turtles get revamped every couple of years, like every generation of kids since the 80s has had their own version of the Turtles that they love. Can’t think of many other IPs that have this level of continued success with so many different iterations. I really hope it goes on forever.

That’s a really good poster. If you’re in a movie theater walking by the posters, this is the one that will draw your eyes.

Gutted there’s no Foot and no Shredder. I get that maybe they’ve been done to death, but still…

I just rewatched the trailer and it really reinforced how little the makers of the first Michael Bay produced Turtles movie understood the source material.

Why did they make them so happy go lucky? I liked the 90’s versions with some grit. Now it just feels like watching Dora the Explorer in green.

  • RhymesWith_DoorHinge

So are they 13 year olds in this one or what? They look significantly younger than any other interpretation I’ve seen.

It’s not a bad poster but it’s not nearly as good as the teaser poster they released initially. That gives all the info you need and it’s a really slick design. This one is a little meh

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross are doing the soundtrack, though I’m hoping for more of the Lost Highway / Natural Born Killers type of soundtrack than a score.

This is literally the first time I’ve seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles behave and look like actual teenagers. Throw that in with the Spider-Verse animation and it’s going to be sick.

  • Turqoise-Planet

Doesn’t look appealing to me at all. But I’m obviously not the target audience. As someone familiar with the original comics, I think its unfortunate that TMNT can now only be comedies made for children.

  • MisterZacherley

Anybody else feel this is the first incarnation of the series to really deliver on them being teenagers? The focus was always more “mutant ninja turtles” than anything else.

  • RebeeMo

So, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing/reading a LOT of the TMNT iterations that have come out over the decades. I’ve enjoyed some more than others, simply due to personal preferences.

This new movie iteration? I’m excited about.

The fact they’re on the younger side of the Teenager age range, and actively sound/act like it? That shows me that if this film is successful, future potential sequels could involve both physical *and* mental growth for the boys. Something series media hasn’t really touched on too much, minus some Future Version shenanigans. Kids change a lot between 13 and 19, and seeing the guys go through that over several films could be great

The voice actors for the Turtles are young, too, meaning the voices can grow as the characters grow.

No Shedder or Krang?…I’m fine with that, and the franchise doesn’t live or die if they aren’t around for every damn version all the time. The current IDW and 90’s Archie Adventure comics are good examples of this. Besides, this leads to a build up for another film.

    No Casey Jones? See above.

Durr hurr, Seth Rogan movie weed jokes durr hurr…Rogan is a HUGE nerd, especially for comics, and had a producing role for the Amazon TV breakout hit Invincible. I have a hell of a lot more faith in him involved in this than Bay.

    Anyway. My two cents.

TMNT as a kid was just awesome. Used to collect all the old figures. I’m glad kids today will get that experience as well.
