I hope it won’t be disappointing
Full trailer drops tomorrow and its in theaters April 21:
>In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A. apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.
I’ve only ever seen the original, but this looks to be in a similar vein to the 2013 film. Wonder if Bruce is going to have a cameo at all.
I wonder how many gallons of fake blood they bought for this movie. Fun fact, they used 50,000 gallons for the final scene alone in Evil Dead (2013).
I think I’m about done with that exaggerated smile thing. Was kinda creepy the first time around, 607 times later not so much.
Mommy? Sorry.
Absolutely loved the remake. I hope they can pull off another winner here!
Damn, the mom can get it. 🧍💀
Hear me out..
Look, I love Ash as much as anyone, but Evil Dead is still Evil Dead. I didn’t *LOVE* the remake, but it was good for a modern horror remake. And there’s still so much about the evil dead concept that’s so cool to me, even without Ash this has a chance at being a VERY entertaining and well-built horror flick, and I like the new setting (even tho ED will always be a “Cabin in the woods” setting for me, they kinda did all you can possibly do with not only the originals and remake, but the Starz series as well) so I am definitely looking forward to this and actually have high expectations for it.
That’s not a “Deadite,” that’s the joker and poison ivy in one body.
If it wasn’t for the title being in the poster, I would’ve thought Smile was getting a sequel already.
I liked the 2013 one as well.. they could’ve just continued. Excited…
This has me cautiously pessimistic. Evil Dead people need to die horrible hilarious deaths. The fact there are 3 kids in the cast worries me they will survive.
Groovy.
*LETS GO!!* Across the board imo there’s very few people with an actual need to be “cautiously optimistic” or “hopefully apprehensive”.. it’s a *movie* , not a major life decision.
One of my fondest memories connected to evil dead, as an introvert, was seeing the evil dead remake in theaters years back. Before the showing, which was at midnight, the theater employees came out and spoke for a moment then held a trivia game. If you got a question right you were given a prize. The question came up “what were the words ash had to recite in order to retrieve the necronomicon without awaking the dead?” I raised my hand to answer, I then loudly proclaimed “KLATU-VARATA-“ then proceeded to cough the last word. The entire theater laughed with me. I got a poster for my effort. It was so fun being around a fandom like that. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood that night, due to the movie. Hope this one is as fun to see in the theater.
