I’m sorry I just love the guy anytime. He makes me laugh whether it is a serious or a comic scene. Even in serious scenes he does not take himself seriously and I feel like he’s laughing with me as in all the way to the bank Especially Unbearable weight of Massive Talent a movie totally dedicated to making fun of Nicolas Cage And some are pure genius

Dear Hollywood-
I’m really tired of the same old films from the same old white dudes. Love, an old white dude.
Wondered what it was about so looked it up:
‘A frontier epic about an Ivy League drop-out as he travels to the Colorado wilderness, where he joins a team of buffalo hunters on a journey that puts his life and sanity at risk. Based on the highly acclaimed novel by John Williams.’
Saw it at TIFF 2022. Didn’t know it hadn’t had a wide release yet. Pretty meh overall. Cage is okay but the filmmaking is very lacking. You could tell they didn’t have a lot of money for some of the things they wanted to do (a stampede and some other action-y beats), and the story also didn’t really come together, weak script (although based on a very beloved novel).
Cage is playing a Colonel Kurtz type character (and admitted during Q&A he took some mannerisms from Brando – especially running his hand over his shaved head constantly).

Judging from the name and poster, it’s a harrowing tale of a butcher finding the best meat in Alaska.
Who the FUCK wants to watch a movie about a bunch of fucking assholes killing a whole herd of buffalo?????? This makes me want to puke that they would make that book into a movie!!!!
