I have a lot of fond memories playing aerial assault 4 player split screen with friends. I even liked ascend while it was still out. The only other tribes like game I’ve tried is midair and it just didn’t do it for me. Are there any more I’m missing out on?

Inside me there were two wolves (in 1999) Starsiege Tribes and Everquest.
If I ever look back at all the games I played this one will be the best one. When everybody else was doing capture the flag by running on the ground, armored heavies were learning how to ski while grabbing your flag and leaving you a green behind of death behind to suck on.

I think I’m the only one who preferred the actual Starsiege game to tribes. I loved Earthsiege, Eearthsiege 2 and Starsiege. Whish there were more games where it was humans vs. Cybrids.

I just want to experience skiing across the map and lobbing mortars into an enemy base before slamming into a mountain and losing all my momentum and then eating like 76 million spinfusors again. I miss this fucking game.
Please lord, please, just give us a new Tribes game with the *EXACT* same gameplay as Tribes 2 but with modern graphics and multiplayer capabilities. The gameplay is already perfect, no need to try and “improve” it, just give us a modern Tribes please.
Greatest game ever. So much time building turrets and building shields. I loved playing engineer for the team. I wish we could get a new one of this game.

People don’t even know how influential this game was on modern gaming. Online, team based, first person combat in the fucking 90s.
Except for Island Man (he’s a rock star).
No better feeling than to nail the rocket jump to get over to the enemy’s base on the Broadside map and just mow down all the Lights that everyone usually spawned as.

If Hirez didn’t turn to “hero moba” whatever the trend was, we would probably all still be playing a tribes game… Ascend was just fine, but cheaters killed it and they never cared enough to fix it.
He’s a Lake or Ocean. He needs to Wake up to see it.
The games biggest downfall imo is that you didn’t need the disc to play the game after install. Just to play the music. So the game was passed around so much they lost a ton of sales. Loved this game.

I remember playing this for hours a day as a kid on dial up. What great game! Probably my favorite online multiplayer shooter ever.
For me it was way better than Quake or Unreal tournament.
Loved the disc launcher and the laser sniper rifle.
