Finished my first playthrough last night. Girlfriend watched and now we are going to do a story mode playthrough with only the plasma cutter together.

Love Dead Space 1 and 2. Never had a chance to play 3 though.
But my favorite horror games have to be silent hills 1-3.

It’s basically the first game to ever do modern survival horror right. This is what RE:5 + was suppose to be like, only with zombies.
Anyone considering this game, look up GPU compatibility. I have a 3080 and the game is just permanently broken at 20fps on all settings. Very disappointing.
God yeah Dead space remake was so good. I recommended RE2 remake as well, super spooky and very very good. Alien Isolation if you want more sci-fi horror (my favorite version of horror)
I got the remake, then found out my graphics card can’t play it. Still needing to get a new one so I can play the damn game, the original is one of my all time favorite games.
Yeah, this game is one of my GOTY this year. I loved it. Waiting for October to replay it again

Gotta give the Resident Evil Franchise a go then. I was late to the party with 7 being the first one I played, but RE2 and RE4 Remakes are just as good as the Dead Space Remake.

Oh I love Dead Space, played for the first time when I was a child many years ago and since them I’ll periodically play it again because it’s just so god damn good. I play very few games nowadays, but I always open a spot for Dead Space.
Is “US IS U” relevant to the story?
I picked up the remake and was blown away. I had never played the original, so that helped. What an awesome atmosphere.

The original was the first survival horror game that I played in full. I think I was 9? I played it like a year or so after release.

My first horror game too. I absolutely adore Dead Space remake. It was so good it made me go out and buy Alien: Isolation, Dead Space 2, and four Resident Evil games (2, 3, 7 and 8.)

I finnished this game like a month ago and the second you realize EVERYTHING is scripted its no longer scary. You could literally see the “checkpoint” when you trigger mob spawn or a jumpscare. That said the game is absolutely fucking awesome. I like Callisto Protocol too. More combat heavy, less “scary”.

By no means am I trying to downplay the remake because it is great, but the original is scarier, especially one particular part of the game. The remake is still incredible though, enjoy it. Watch those wall and ceiling vents!
