Unintentional tourist landmark
I’ve been down the road that follows the Wishkah. Used it to get out of Aberdeen during a high-traffic day while coming back from Ocean Shores.
It’s the same with the house he rented with Courtney in Hollywood they shot a few home videos in. People were constantly breaking into it.
Some guy I worked with owned a house on the same street and said the cops were always showing up there to roust out people on the property.
People are weird.
From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah.
They should install a gift shop.
This is quite the Territorial Pissings to keep Dumb people to Stay Away. You Know You’re Right to put up these signs to prevent an Aneurysm. All Apologies for being the Negative Creep to Come as You Are to this place.
Rural Washington is basically Idaho. Aberdeen is a super sleepy and rainy tiny town. Kinda charming, mostly bleak. I can imagine they dislike dealing with tourists. If you’re going to be an annoying tourist do it in Seattle, there’s a bar that claims Kurt stopped by all the time and probably lies like that.
Now instead of coming to see Kurt’s home, people come to see the signs…
In a way I can understand why some people make these pilgrimages. They just want to feel connected to someone whose work means a lot to them. I have no problem with it, as long as you are respectful and don’t break the law.
We should make a font out of that… call it “teen spirit”
Poor Phil
Nice try. Its clearly a gift and needle store
So…are they saying Phil’s a junkie? Signs kind of went on a tangent there.
Phil next door is probably not happy about this sign.
“No, fish _do_ have feelings.”
Nirvana’s *From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah* was the very first cassette tape I ever bought, from Nobody Beats the WIZ I think. That tape changed me forever.
And the animals I’ve trapped have all become my pets
