i just know she’s still just as beautiful if not more
Pretty sweet Lobster Skirt 🦞
Why is 1954 on the wall? Was your dad in the military and does that explain Christmas in Japan immediately following wwii?
I have the same little Christmas village house from my grandmother. They were made in japan and sold in 5&10 stores in the US.
The lobster skirt is stylin’
The lobster skirt is epic.
Lovely woman! Best wishes to both of you.
OMG I love her skirt.
She’s a beauty!
Pretty sweet and awesome. Long live Mom! 🙏
I guess I’m in the majority here — I love the lobster skirt!
Glad your mom is still doing well! My dad was about the same age, he just died last year. Sadly, he never owned a lobster skirt.
She’s a radiant woman
I’ll bet she’s still beautiful 🤩
It says 1954
She’s beautiful, and I really like that lobster skirt!
That skirt is badass.
Gorgeous
You’re mom is very beautiful. And she looks kind too. You’re lucky to still have her.
Obsessed with the lobsters!
That skirt is absolute class, love it.
Beautiful.
Why does the picture say 1954 tho?
It took me a moment to realize those are lobsters and not Face Hugger aliens on that skirt
Why’s it say 1954 on the photo then?
Memory unlocked: I forgot that my grandmother did the same thing under her tree until I saw this photo. It was never a tree skirt. Just the fake cotton snow and a little village. Was this a thing?
I love the lobster skirt on this gorgeous woman.
I think this is 1954 – that’s why it’s written in the corner.
What a beautiful picture. My dad served in the Pacific theater and was in Okinawa at that time. He came back to the US in the mid 60’s. He died in the early 2000’s, and I got so many calls and letters from Japanese people who knew him. A few I knew, but many I didn’t. It chokes me up how we could go from such bitter enemies to close friends in such a short time. It’s what gives me faith in humanity.
I love her lobster skirt. ❤️
I made a mistake in the caption. Yep, it’s 1954!

I did my best to colorize it for you 🙂
Christmas tree in Japan 3 years after the war? “1954” up in the corner of the photo?
Why does it say 1954?
Lol…TIL never screw up on a caption. You can NOT fix it in comments even if you try dozens of times! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
If it was 1947 why does it say 1954 on the pic?
