My grandmother’s game collection. We’re not sure if she knew how to overwrite existing game files.

For real though, why does she have so many copies of Warioland 4?
Every copy of wario land comes 100% completed by this dude’s granny
Have you loaded these up to see if there is anything different between her saves? Or are all of them fully completed?
She also didn’t know that the Gameboy Advance SP had a rechargeable battery.
Lol. Thats cute and all sorts of fantastic. Unless she’s still around maybe using a switch or something, sorry about your grandma.
If you decide that this isn’t worth keeping for nostalgia or some kind of art installation (with a title that riffs on the memory thing like “Nona’s Persistance of Game State” or something), you could always sell them as specialty items.
_This OG Gameboy and copy of Warioland 4: lovingly curated by Nona: Nona is survived by three children Danny, Dora and Debbie, eleven grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren. Doreen loved to bake, paint squirrels in the park and volunteered every Tuesday at the soup kitchen where she was known as “grams”. This copy has a save game at level 27 with the crystal sword and bonus food; has yellow and blue, has not yet unlocked red key**. Rare collectors item: $100_
Or better yet, sell these for $100 or auction on ebay and anything that you get beyond the going rate for an old gameboy and Warioland 4 goes to Grandma’s favourite charity. 🙂
**never played Warioland, I dunno.
She must be like me with utility knives.
“Where the hell did I put that thing? I guess I’ll buy a new one.”
Nah man. She had dementia
How old is your grandmother, I am concerned about my own age now :'(
Lol this is gold.
I need 3 SPs for a Crystal Chronicles session, mind giving me some? 😛
She must not have known how to change the game cartridges either by the amount of Gameboy’s.
Ah the classic “picture of a bunch of games with a completely fabricated story made up to get karma” on /r/gaming
I think with all the offspring she had there is a copy for everyone as a memento of her awesomeness. She probably picked a lot of them from flea markets and such by looking at the price tags.
I love warioland 4
For games like harvest moon or Pokémon, where you raise and name your virtual pets, overwriting a save file for a new game can feel like putting down a dog just to get a new puppy.
Yet that dog was immortal as long as you didn’t kill it, but you only had one doghouse.
Those don’t look like those kind of games though, but I can understand being nostalgic about a savegame file.
Any chance she needs to get rid of one of those GBAs?
Or recharge batteries lol your grandma is a bad ass.
Anyone going to mention Oracle of Ages back there? Nana had taste.
Nah she was just scammed by Wario to buy 26 copies of his greatest achievement
Think of all the sad SP-less children.
Why tf isn’t there a wario game on the super Mario odyssey engine
That’s almost 2K worth of stuff with the Gameboys and games alone (at current market prices). Pretty cool lot of stuff she has there 🙂
This is bizarre…. like how long was it from when she started playing these games to when she lost her memory/ability it seems? It’s very sad I am sorry to see but I am amazed she has all of these systems and copies of games, how one could accumulate all of this in a short amount of time even at my age seems like quite an effort. Genuinely curious, your grandma was a gamer dude, I want the truth
May I have one? I miss my SP:(
Normally I’d say something mean, but your granny is adorable.
Did your grandma pass?
I went through my grandmas games after she died. She probably beat the main story to Morrowind 10+ times.
Man I can’t even get one original sp in halfways decent condition and op’s gran has ten.
My brain feels like it’s folding in on itself. Help.
Grandma is 42.
OP is 6 years old
Grandma had too much moolah.
npcs are real
Jokes on you, she’s actually the holder of the warioland4 speed run world record
I never knew about Mario pinball I’ll have to look for it!
Age? No disrespect! Genualy curios!!
This is the most precious thing I’ve ever seen.
