Sadly he tragically passed away July 16, 1980 in the line of duty. This is why this picture means so much to me. I never knew it existed but just found out they have a memorial for him at the firehouse and this is one of the photos there.
I grew up off Farmingdale Road. That is an iconic place in that town.
