Oh hell yes. I am always here for more Paul Schrader.
This rounds out the thematic trilogy he began with First Reformed and The Card Counter, both of which I seriously dig.
Hell yeah! Now this is cinema. Love Schrader
Find someone who loves you like Paul Schrader loves dudes journaling
This looks well worth watching
The unofficial prequel of Groundskeeper Willie…
This looks great!
Can’t wait. We need a Super Smash Brothers-style game featuring all of Paul Schrader’s brooding, violent, soliloquizing male protagonists
Bresson-type ending incoming!
I loved First Reformed, Card Counter was a little disappointing.
But this looks fantastic, sign me up. I mean… Sigourney Weaver, always sign me up.
Dark man with a haunted past writing in a journal? Paul’s back.
Did ChatGPT write those lines? *Bleh*
Definitely a Paul Schrader joint.
I don’t know I find the premise a step to far for me. I have a really hard time believe the characters are real. Just kind of hard to suspend the disbelief for these kind of characters and this kind of story…
Lots of love for this movie in this thread. I will go against the grain on this.
I find Paul Schrader movies to be tedious and this looks like Taken 5 or Equalizer 4.
“Someday a real rain will come, and my begonias will finally start to flourish.”
Only 67% rotten tomatoes I’m afraid
I need a cross over between Ralph Fiennes from The Constant Gardener vs Edgerton in Master Gardener
The music made that trailer excellent.
Paul Schrader and Joel Edgerton? Don’t need to see the trailer, here’s my debit card
Reminds me of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin when he retires and becomes a church gardener
Paul Schrader has taken leave of his senses with his recent comments about the Oscars.
“OSCARS SO NOT HOLLYWOOD. Diversifying membership, recalibrating how votes are counted, these changes have transformed the Hollywood Oscars into the International Oscars. I rather like the provincial origins of the Oscars: Hollywood coming together to celebrate its own.”
I might watch this film but I’ll try not to contribute a full ticket’s worth to it.
I’ve been a Paul Schrader fan ever since I saw Mishima: A life in 4 chapters. He’s better as a writer but he has these flashes of brilliance as a director from time to time.
Is Barry Keoghan Edgerton’s son?
