Damn I didn’t know this was the original!
Legendary song. Emo before emo.
Thanks for sharing
Omg!!! Someone else who knows and appreciates THIS SONG 😍😍😍😍
Love the song, but I think the video left alot on the table.
Would love to see a reboot video with a visionary director.
They were such a good band until they “stopped staring at their sneakers” and started singing about happiness.
They’re still cool though 🙂
Oh lordy, those gyrating arm movements
Donny Darko
Excellent, it’s been so long since hearing the original version of this song. Thank you for sharing!
Oh man, those “dances” LOL
curt smith’s voice tickles a funny little part of my brain in a very satisfying way, i’ve loved tears for fears since the 80s and i think they’re both fantastic singers but curt just has an effortless magic which really hits hard without being polished or showy. great song, lovely vocal, if anything the skeletal gary jules version illustrated what a hauntingly beautiful song this is
Excellent band to see live! If they come to your city, get a ticket.
This is great. Takes me back. I do miss the hay day of music videos, when you could get a bit of visual art with your music.
Discovered this in the days of Kazaa. Gary Jules version is superior though
This is a good pre-hurricane song😂
Thanks for this, great song.
Prefer the version that accompanied the Gears of War trailer – Gary Jules.
T4F’s The Hurting and Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures were the two cassette tapes that never left my car in High School! 30+ years later I own them in both CD and vinyl and are still in the regular rotation.
