That episode had the two best monologues of the series .
I suspect he dies in the next season. It will make sense given where we are in the timeline but it’s going to hurt because of how good the character is.
He dies so the rebellion can live.
I often rewatch this scene, as it’s one of the best in Star Wars, or any show. This man is well aware of cost and sacrifice it takes to lay the ground work down for what will later become an important ripple in the galaxy.
And he will kindly pay it, as he’s been doing. Powerful scene, powerful writing, powerful acting. This is one of many from a damn good show and the best one Star Wars has given us.
That “everything” hits like a brick. Damn.
Well guess I’m watching the show again
When asked what he sacrifices, what’s the first word he says? “Calm” or “home?” Can’t quite make it out.
Luthen’s monologue is absolutely amazing but one part of this scene that people rarely mention that is also spectacular is the discussion between him and Lonni through the speaker in the elevator, the tension was great.
What I would give to have these writers and creative team on Wheel of Time or Rings of Power.
God this show is so good.
