It’s WILD how much better this game handled terrain compared to (checks notes) a game for $50, 20 years later.
You know what? I would *absolutely* play a game with CS2 levels of simulation paired with SC3K-like pixel art graphics. Not least because that doesn’t involve buying a new graphics card!
I’d legit play City Skylines 2 if it looked like this but added modern features. The obsession with graphical fidelity is absurd.
More games need graphics like this, I’d play the shit out of them.
Imagine the performance of a game looking like this on a modern system, with the benefit of all the gameplay improvements that have been created over the years.

Sim City 2000 aged like fine wine. The game is still so good!
First PC game I ever played, I think I was like 6 years old when my family got a PC and it came with this game for some reason.
I also remember they had it installed on one of the computers in my school library so I also got to play it during lunch breaks, ahhhh good old times.
Definitely in the GOAT game category.
I know this is a joke. But fuck man. A modern game with this kind of graphic style and a modern ai driven back end would be AMAZING.

If you played the PC version and not the SNES version you missed out. The SNES version has a bunch of extra fun things like a character that advises you through the game. Such a good memory.
