I’ve noticed this trend with modern games that favors this boring and bland look with white text instead of stylized and interesting cover/title art that reflect the game. When did this become the standard? This sucks!

I will ask you for Aperture science reasons to shove a lemon up your arse.

You could also look at companies who are not doing this..

But also if you think life is giving you lemons.

You now know what to do 🙂

    Design trends come and go.

Usually some hot shot goes around showing his success with his art style. Then everyone copies them for a bit until the next trend starts.

    Yeah, it’s a corporate kill-off move.

It’s like company logos being switched to bland, boring, and flat bullshit. Pringles being one of dozens.

Enjoy! And remember: They hate you.

They changed the original Dead Island logo. The ‘I’ in Island was stylised to look like a hanged man but they had to censor it lol

Dead Space Remake is actually the best & good improvement over Classic Dead Space 2008. I loved both games in their time.

What a dumb post. You’re making up something to get mad at. Sure there are a lot of games that have that, but no where near enough to be called the standard. There plenty of new games with unique title fonts

    Market research.

And the reality is that simplicity sells.

And you can bet your ass that a lot of corporations don’t give a flying fuck how “good” something looks subjectively, when the research is telling them it’ll make them more money.

They’d put a big fat turd on the cover if they were told it would sell.

Wow, really prefer the latters in this pic.

Dead Island may not have been that good but that cover art is superb.

Movies have been doing this too, their version is the “Let’s have everyone stand on top of each other trying to look epic” pose.

It’s cleaner, less busy, and doesn’t feel like they’re trying as hard to appeal to the black hoodie, always-have-the-hood-up edgelords that those covers were designed to appeal to originally.

    I dig it, tbh.

Bruh do you not see the dead body hanging from the tree in Dead Island’s title? Or the dark space in Dead space’s? Your making up stuff to be mad at then using examples that don’t even accurately portray what your mad at.
