Can I ask what projector you went with? I am interested in doing something similar but there is a huge price range for small projectors.
Just took a vacation where we stayed in a cabin and I bought a projector and a 10 foot screen for $75. Movies by the fire was great.

An outdoor theatre, watching while floating on a contraption of inflatables and pool noodles. The dream.
