Cyberpunk put 70% of their profits back into the game. Gamefreak makes a game and forgets it even exists while being funded by the LITERAL biggest gaming company to ever exist. I feel like we’re comparing apples and oranges.

I’m holding off on getting it for now but if I end up with the same experience as cyberpunk (enjoyed it with very few notable glitches) I better pick it up now. the footage I saw looked bad but gamers are one of the loudest and whiniest groups online so I’m not fully trusting the outrage. a friend is picking up violet so I’m gonna check that out first

Hmmm… I’ve been very critical of Pokemon the past 5 years but this isn’t the same. Yes they’re both buggy, and the games got a lot of issues, but cyberpunk promised to be gods gift to the planet and had disingenuous marketing. I think they’ve tried a lot of things this gen and took chances. Thats all I could really ask for when looking back at the trash bin that was sw/sh

    I already did.

That amount is 0. I never got the hype for cyberpunk, but i’m likely to pick up the Pokémon games.

Why do ya’ll always assume everyone shared your Damn hypetrain? That shit is toxic af and marketing brainwashing.

I agree. While I look forward to eventually getting these games, the performance is abysmal from what I’ve seen. As a long time Pokémon fan, it’s hard but true.

Honestly, it should be worse because Pokemon is an exclusive targeting a single platform, so there’s no way that they can say that the issues are only limited to last-gen or similar.

Gamefreak has been doing the bare minimum for many years now. I don’t buy Pokémon games anymore. Pokémon would do so much better in another developer’s hands.

  • TouchMyWrath

Gamefreak keeps squirting the same lukewarm piss in your faces and Pokémon fans just keep on buying it. The gullible ones buy it twice! That dual edition scam is still going strong.

No. When I was a kid I enjoyed playing pokemon. But I was blown away by scifi, and then I read Neuromancer. Then I realized that that one trippy movie I saw years before Johnny Mnemonic (staring Keanu Reeves) was actually the same world as Neuromancer and happened just before it, leading up to it.
Then, decades later, Johnny / Keanu came back for more.

Hell no you don’t get the same energy for a rehashed version of mutated andy warhol version of animals being pitted against each other by children in the streets as you do from this story. At least not out of me.

I enjoyed Cyberpunk on my pc when it launched.

I enjoy Scarlet now. So far it feels one of the most refreshing pokemon games since gen1 yellow.

  • sharkanethakur

Cdpr created one of the best games of all time before cyberpunk.
Gamefreak has been shitting on their fans for years now.
    That’s the difference ig

  • Jamie00003

Not gonna happen. They will finish the dlc and maybe fix some of the performance issues but after that it’ll be abandoned like SWSH, legends arceus and BDSP

  • Imalsome

So refuse to play it on principle because I refuse to support shifty game studios that charge people for unfinished games?

    I sure as fuck will.

  • Yoshiezibz

Did Pokemon come out with a trailer that said stuff like
    * You can choose your background which influence everything in game
    * The clothes you wear will impact how people see and interact with you.
    * Each citizen has a routine and a day & night cycle.
    * Multi branching story

No? Then this is disengenuious. Cyberpunk marketing team literally lied to everyone. It wasn’t just the glitches that caused CP to get roasted, but the lies.

  • GuyOnABuffalo42

This is so full of shit. Cyberpunk bluescreened literally every 20 minutes on launch. Scarlet might have the worst fps I’ve seen in a minute but not once have I been forced back to the homescreen
