Heard this wasn’t half bad. And with all the negative about scarlet and violet, this is actually a solid buy.

Pretty fun tbh if you like collection games. I was addicted to this for a sec, checking my exp farming on lunch breaks, evolving and de evolving over and over to fill out the dex. Got about 5 minutes into the DLC and quit haha.
The battles were fun too. Pretty difficult brain teaser. Harder than a lot of the recent Pokémon games.

It helped a ton that I love the anime (with the German dub) but I loved those games. Seing familiar faces is nice. I always liked Marineangemon but after I played this its one of my favorite Megalevel Digimon.
With Lucemon having a Rookie level Digimon can kerp up with Megas is nice.
But also discovering new cool Digimon. “A Wargraymon variant thats like a Samurai in black armor with 2 swords? Awsome”. I also liked the story and characters. Erikas Wormon is so freaking adorable.
I know I’ll get a lot of heat for this, but I hated these games! I was convinced by reviewers, ultimately it’s way too story driven and not enough gameplay for me!
Game was more focused on being a detective than it was a digimon trainer to my dismay.
I got to chapter 9 and just couldn’t torture myself any longer and just shelved it. Hoping chapter after chapter it would be more digi-world less real world. (If I dropped the game to early feel free to

Visually, the digital world was super duper simple, corridors and paths, blank walls and digitized walking space. Nothing special.
The game play was a constant “talk to ___”, gather information about _____, battle a mini boss, check task off white board; repeat. The part that was frustrating is the game did a bad job of telling you where to go or what to do most of the time. You’d unlock a new area in the digi-world and it never even notified you, somehow your just supposed to know.
The game play and digimon stuff was fun however, just extremely simple and basic. Think persona but minus all the intricacies.
Still hoping a digimon game will someday release where I can be a digidestined stranded in the digital world!
In all seriousness is this better than the Pokémon game?
This is not only a very good digimon game, but also a very good jrpg game too.
anyone who enjoy jrpg games should give it a chance.
Yeah Scarlet and Violet are pretty good games. Might not be the best eye candies but they are great **games**.
Cyber sleuth is fun, but god the amount of text i had to go trough is a hassle. Its a good game still.

At the end it gets a little boring but it’s a fine pokemon game. I just didn’t understood those detective cases but I guess is something from this New region

Dungeon design kinda boring tho, and you just going around and around cities.
Good game if you are Digimon fans. But IMHO you better goes with Digimon World: Next Order to get full experience taking care of your Digimon.

Funny you pick this, the first one was one of the few digimon games i couldn’t get through. Wannabe persona with none of the charm, tedious combat that i dread more than normal pokemon gameplay.
