What?
Context downloading something on steam it’s so close to being done when this happens i restart pc cancel the download restart it gets stuck at same point each time
You’re giving me flashbacks of that old windows downloading / installing GUI that would experience slow downs and stalls that jacked the estimated time to complete hilariously high.
Well, go get a beer in the meantime
I had about a year and a half one time… downloading unturned, A game that doesn’t need high performance pc or a lot of storage
Hey it’s another World of Warships download!
Could be worse, not even a year!
Maybe not the case but you could try disabling IPv6 or using a VPN like Proton VPN. First could help if it is related to edge caching playing tricks on you. Second may help if your ISP plays tricks on you. Not site if makes a difference tho but worth a shot. Both helped me on another unrelated network issue.
How much space do you have on your computer?
Time remaining isnt what makes me cringe, that peak speed, ouch man. I remember what it was like. I used to start dl’s in the morning, go to work, and usually they would be done when i got back.
Will be done just in time for the second battle pass!
Ah yes, Steam downloads the personification of hell.
Ya know what my problem is, I keep getting stoned so I can Finnish ac origins but I keep zoning out on Reddit and don’t realize it till I sober up and do it all over again, I’ve been trying to play that game since before noon
Are you trying to show us your peak dl speed? Or the timer reading 11 months (!) 23 days?
I ask because the downloading portion is done, now it’s just decompressing. And that is determined by your disk speed and maybe CPU factors into that.
Sometimes it’s easier to uninstall the game and reinstall fresh.
11 months? Those are rookie numbers i had 6-7 years before
Don’t worry just one year to go
Some may have given a tip like mine, but this helped me after trying everything.
Have Steam and the games downloaded in the same storage. Whenever I had Steam on SSD and games on HDD the download was horrendous. Now it’s all on my HDD and downloads quick and continuously without stop. Have not had a problem since.
Must of been installing an ark update
Once I was downloading a game and the line actually went back on itself, making a loop. The game was halo infinite and when it was going backwards it said some crazy big number, probably the estimation cap. So halo infinite=infinite download time
100% ARK
that’s not long, only 11 minutes and 23 deconds
No your so close just wait it out
11 Minutes and 23 Deconds doesn’t seem too bad
*Looks off in the distance* 1996 dial up memories…
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You can cook a whole baby and start another one at that time.
“Wake me up when September ends.”
Before you can install the game a remastered version will come out.
Glad I’m not the only one who’s been noticing the installation times have been horrendous too with Steam
This reminds me of my days on kazaa
So a few things here. You see the 8.4Gb/8.4Gb that is all it downloaded the update was 8.4 Gb and probably downloaded fairly fast. The 49.3/60.1 is the updates extracted size (size on disc) so your stalling/update failing is a result of steam unpacking and applying the update. I recommend clearing all temp file on your pc. Make sure your download location is on the same drive as the games installation location. Preferably on an ssd if possible.
11 minutes, 23 days remaining.
Time for an upgrade.
Just cancel and start again, don’t reset the pc. Happens to me all the time
What are you downloading a whole nasa pc 😂.
