Now this is the ad which I will never skip
This unlocked a memory for me. Completely forgot I played that game.
I thought it was a Snuggle drier sheet commercial! Boy was I Wrong!!!
Great multiplayer game (back then)!
That game looks sick as fuck
I remember that game! I had it! It was *very* bad!
Shadows of the Empire was always my fave N64 game. Goldeneye too.
I remember this game. It was awesome. Playing it with my sister (co-op style) as kids blasting Eiffel 65 in the background. What a golden time.
The good old days when bears did not #easyoffended bullshit!
Early 2000’s commercials were the pinnacle of entertainment
We, as a society, peaked in the 90s. There, I said it.
Smash bros had a great commercial
That last scene of him missing an arm and on fire getting chased by a tank was absolutely insane.
Nintendo 64!!!!!!!!!!!Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Battletanks was great
Holy funk! This was core playing right here. I remember religiously reading the game guide for this.
OH MY GOD! I was just talking about this ad the other day and everyone thought I was crazy because they didn’t remember it!
Duckman vibes.
We need more games like this. Just crazy 4 player fun.
I had the sequel – BattleTanx Global Assault. It was awesome
I always hated that fucking bear
This game was straight fire
My cousin had this game and it was all but mandatory for us to dick around in it whenever I visited. So many great memories.
GASP!!!!! MY most favorite game(still own) i can’t believe someone but me knows about it. *tear* I used to play this with my step dad all the time as a kid and it hold so many fond memories. I absolutely love this game and when I showed it to my kid he started humming the song all the time.
100/100 best n64 game.
HELL YEAH! Battletanx was the absolute tits man!
You think this is wild you should lookup what happens to him in robot chicken
That rules.
This feels like a robot chicken skit
Strange, I don’t remember this game even though I played a lot of N64.
average ad in ohio
This game was sooo cool. You were able to randomly generate your own factions, colors, and the power it came with. I.e. I faction of super heavy tanks with a nuke, or light fast bikes an light tanks. Soo fun!
Loved that game.
I just mentioned this to someone while we were playing the Deep Rock Galactic board game. He activated his Turret and I referred to it as a Gun Buddy. He didn’t get the reference, so I had to remind him about all the hours we spent playing BattleTanx.
We used to sit up in his parents’ shed in winter with a big propane heater down on the ground floor blasting hot air up into the attic where we had a table, some folding chairs, a TV and his n64.
I remember that shed so well. I remember the night that Smash Bros came out, climbing up there to see him and some of my other friends gathered around it, playing it. That night is imprinted in my memory for life.
That game was awesome too.
Oh hey, battletanx. My brother and I played the *shit* out of it when we were younger. I remember when we found out that if you had 15 or more of most power ups and pressed A+B together, it’d do something cool
Swarmers would rapid fire, guided missiles would spawn a slower missile that shot lasers, mines would create a minefield, and gun buddies (which were one of the odd ones, as you only needed 2 ammo for the power up for this to work, iirc) would spawn a bigger, more powerful gunbuddy
Shit was wild
I still have that game. Green cartridge.
Back when ads were good
Loved that game. That along with Goldeneye and Vigilante 8, late nights hanging out with friends in the dorms.
One of my favorite games on the n64. My friends and I played this for hours on end. Best was using the cheat codes to get all weapons and unlimited ammo
Just fucking invest in some Nintendo stock. It’s nasty how the sheep are numb thanks to marvel fatigue. And that sweet Japanese company deserves some IP love. It’s a shame PoGo is finding a slump. But nerd collectors are still sinking horrendous amount of money into cardboards.( soory for shitting on hobby. I myself have spent too much on mtg)
Enyways. Please someone help us make a metroid, and Zelda movie. I thought the Mario movie was crap. But frankly a sequel with the same cast could be the tits! Black as Bowser will open doors.
You mean 90’s commercials
This wasn’t exactly an a-list title.
Lol yeah I remember bursting out laughing at this in the 90s. That downy bear was all the time in every commercial break to the point it annoyed me so much. I’m surprised downy didn’t complain

Got the kids an N64… went to game stop to get some used games… got the one with a cute squirrel on it. Learned an important lesson that day.
