sounds like a scam
There needs to be an absolute 0 acceptance of scammers or feeling sorry for them. Scammers will use every trick in the book to get your money. That part about the scammers siblings was a blatant lie.
If you want to donate money to someone poor, there’s plenty of charities that exist.
