I bought a game through EPIC . I decided to return the game and get my money back. But EPIC doesn’t want to refund the game money. What do I do? In my country there is a law that says it is mandatory for the company to return the money in case of repentance, but EPIC does not want to follow the law.

Before you get too ‘it’s about my laws’, check their terms and conditions. It will say, and by purchasing you agreed to, what countries laws apply.

Since you made a voluntary purchase I’d be surprised to see them make an exception.

That said, almost universally a situation like yours would result in a refund. Possibly you could tell us the specific reason they are basing the denial on?

I like how you’re not even saying what it was you had purchased and are claiming they’re breaking the law. Did you buy fortnite v-bucks by any chance? You know, consumables?

Just keep on pushing and send them quotes from your law. They will try to deny it a few times, but most likely cave in if you start threatening with a lawsuit.

My friend does this on Steam all the time, even when he has played the games more than the Steam refund policy states.

It doesn’t matter what these game companies say about their policies, they are not above the law.

You’re not refunding a game. Response says you’re trying to refund a purchase because it includes non-refundable products, which typically means in-game currency microtransactions. Buying micro added to your in-game account is tied to that in-game account and cannot be refunded, regardless of whether the micro purchased has actually been spent. They’re separate businesses.

This would be like buying gas to put in your car, driving to a different gas station, and demanding they give you money and siphon the gas back out.

Probably in the terms and conditions they snuck in non refundable. Which you sadly can’t do anything about if they did. This is why I love microsoft, cos their refund policy is so good. I’ve gotten full refunds a week or so after playing a game. Also to the people saying it’s microtransactions, I’ve had xbox refund me microtransactions from call of duty and it still let me kept what i bought with it, weirdly enough. I think it depends on the developer as well. I know apex it won’t let you or fortnite. So if it is microtransactions from them, this would be the case here.

    You are contradicting yourself.

In your title you say that you bought a game.

In a reply to somebody, you say you bought DLC.

Before you proceed, you have to make sure that that you have a clear description of the situation.

It is possible that the law is on your side and in that case, the law always supersedes the return policies of EPIC.

However, not every item can be returned. Almost every country has exceptions.

Dude buys DLC, doesn’t get refunded (Because DLCs aren’t refundable by law) and then posts about it.
Buddy, you’re in the wrong here.

I love when people try to scam and run to reddit to cry and spin the story to benefit themselves. This is clearly DLC or in game currency, not a game. You just hoped you could refund and keep whatever you bought.
