Excuse me what the fuck?
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst here
I’m actually cautiously optimistic.

It looks more like Drunk History than the sequel to the original
Wasn’t the joke calling part 1 knowing it was a one off?
It’s Mel Brooks. All I need to know. I’M IN.
I’ll watch it; probably chuckle a bit.
This feels more like those terrible parodies that came out in the 2000s than a Mel Brooks classic.
If there aren’t Jews in Space or Hitler on Ice, then I’ll be disappointed.
The Alexander Bell joke was pretty funny lol
Man this sub can be negative.
I had a friend at school in the 80s that insisted he’d seen History of the World Part 2!
It will never meet the level of Part I, but I appreciate them trying.
Let me turn my Hulu back on…..
Part I is my favorite Mel Brooks movie, so I am tickled fucking pink about this.
I want to see it for the cast alone.
I want to give it a chance. But it really doesn’t look good. Everything seems cheap, the light is bright and flat. It gives me the feel of something SNL-ish.
But worst of all, no trace of Hitler on Ice.
Well I’m excited!
Looking forward to this.
Nick Kroll was on a podcast (I don’t remember which one) and he talked about this show. He said Mel Brooks was in the room while they wrote it pitching jokes. He said he was coming up with better jokes than they were.
Looks downright awful.

Mel is 96, let him do wha he wants.
I think I’m seeing hitler on ice. We better get JEWS IN SPAAAAAACCEEEE.
I was 8 years old watching part I on The Movie Channel in 1982. I didn’t get that the teaser for part 2 was a gag. I’ve been waiting 40 years for this
My brother brought home Part 1 20 years ago to watch during summer vacation. I asked ‘Did you get Part 2 too?’
He laughed.
Who’s laughing now?!
you can’t Torquemada anything!
Okay, I’m down. And I only have 52 days to *finally* get around to *History of the World, Part I*.
just from a visual standpoint it looks so cheap lol, like digital can obviously look incredible but so many things end up looking youtube quality if someone isn’t lighting right and doing amazing post color grading.
I will watch this out of sheer respect for Mel Brooks. He has earned that
Fuck yes
I already know that Jake Johnson will be the best part of this
