Birds aren’t real.
🤌
Yes….. I know this is a joke….. however, I would just like to point out how useful a survival strategy being able to perform true flight has been for various groups of animals.
* Insects: they were the first animals to colonise land and are still the most numerous on the planet. The basal insects were probably all able to fly. Now, there are several that do not fly. The flea or louse lost flight at some point. Ants and termites are considered flightless but produce winged scouts when expanding/reproducing.
* Reptiles: *[Pterosaurs were the dominant flying vertebrate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pterosaur) for a massive 162 million years!*
* Birds: Directly descended from theropod dinosaurs. For many people these are the only wild animals they will see on a regular basis.
* Mammals: There are more species of bats than any other mammal.
True flight however uses a lot of energy, and birds in particular tend to evolve away from it when isolated in island ecologies for example where they do not need to avoid predators.
Flip the bird
Only angels have both hands and wings
I work with someone who has hands, they do not make him useful.
A Middle Winger?
tentacles > hands
Aren’t their feet basically hands
giving him the middle feather
Did u ever think some animals could be smarter than us and/or have a higher consciousness, but they lack the thumbs to do much about it?
