Psh… now they can’t even bring masks to school, dress up for an hour, and gluten free fruit punch only. 🤦🏼♂️ I substitute in my district and some of the guidelines, policies and rules are just ridiculous

As a kid I couldn’t breathe or could I see in these costumes. They were definitely not designed for children with glasses. Nightmares.
Those masks were common in the 70’s. Raggedy Ann was a popular one. I had a Cinderella mask my sis wore the year before in 1970. Those masks had a strong chemical smell. 🙊

I still remember being 6 or 7 years old and seeing one of these costumes in the grocery. It had a pumpkin mask and the body was some kind of pumpkin patch maybe? Lol, it was my favorite costume I ever had but was SO random.
Who is the blond guy with stars on his chest? Two people in the photo are wearing it.
I don’t think it’s Evel Knievel – that costume had a helmet around the mask.
this is 100% what my 1981 first grade class looked like! the costume was basically a printed vinyl bag that was 500 degrees and the masks were held on by a rubber band with a staple on each side and EVERY kid had cuts in their cheeks and hair pulled out from the staples haha. Underoos next? lol Honestly all this photo is missing is a Greatest American Hero, a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and a cardboard box robot.
Ah yes, who can forget that haunting reveal scene where Darth Vader stalks through the blaster smoke wearing a plastic smock with his own picture on it.
God, those things were uncomfortable.
