We fucked up badly
The helicopter was invented in 1939.
Man those FX are awesome. Love it.
Back when hope for the future was a bit more in fashion.
Giant shoulder pads with plenty of long flowing fabric running around a lot of rotating and moving parts. We get so practical in the future
Watch that movie and keep in mind it was made right before WW2.
Are we there yet?
I can’t wait for society to advance into the Shoulderpads-cape-miniskirt revolution.
Moving away from cloaks as a fashion accessory was a huge mistake!
The cannon barrel has a sight on it. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Some people had such a perfectly vision of how the future would turn out. Wells, Tesla. Who else?
Wow! This is incredible!
Kinda wild to think HG Wells, who famously panned ‘Metropolis’, would have been alive when this came out.
No way this is 1936… right?
This is amazing – I’m shocked I’ve never seen this before.
Why was future fashion always so goofy
Looks like it’s included with Amazon prime in the US.
Where’s Flash Gordon and Emperor Ming? Love how they dress like ancient Romans but fly space ships.
This and Metropolis are two great examples of how the future might have turned out.
Loving the holographic monitor
I’m a huge fan of the art deco style of those days. I’m one of the 3 people that liked “Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow “ for the style.
Unfortunately you have to be renewed when you’re 30. 1976 Logan’s Run
There were a few scenes that looked like the Deltron 3030 cover.
Capes are back for the Spring season!
My favorite part is that they have official “helicopter door-opening people”
LOVE the front sight on the “gun” barrel!
