I know that it’s a design that won’t work as much anymore, but I really miss the GameCube controller’s central A button layout. It always felt instinctive to understand the order of importance that the buttons had with A, B, X and Y.
Unpopular opinion: I think the colors of the buttons should be rotated clockwise 90 degrees to match how the color layout would look on a Gamecube controller, not corresponding to the actual button label.
I understand why it’s done like this, but it just feels off to me. The green button should be the bottom, red should be to the left, with the gray being the last two. But, everyone does it like this, so Eh. What do I know?
(i’m not saying it’s wrong. I’m just saying a very minor nitpick of mine. I genuinely love how all of this looks)
