A pot large enough to fit a camel, a whole sheep, and 20 chickens…. Did you mean a swimming pool?😂
Yum
Whoa, whole camel, rack-o-lamb…
Sounds like Obelix will be left hungry after the starter again
Of course, the recipe is from Michigan.
“Broil in large oven”
Well yeah
But I have an almond allergy. :)))
Salt to taste. lol
When 100 hard shelled tacos in the Taco Bell drive through, just isn’t enough…
Step 1. Cut off the head and neck, and legs of camel. Remove guts, lungs, heart and hip bones, and **NOW** it’s small enough to fit into a really big outdoor oven. See? EASY! /s
Ah yes, traditional American Gaastronomy from Michigan. Bon appétit, Deputy Ruth!
Make sure the pot is large enough…
I want to know if this is actually good, especially camel. I wish there was a reference photo.
I don’t have camel, so I substituted with a pony. Also, I don’t like rice so I used beans. 0/10, turned out awful. Lamb wouldn’t fit.
Where are there camels in Michigan?
I ate camel at a rodizio restaurant in Africa. Took one bite and it tasted like leather that was marinated in manuer.
The rest of the meat was amazing. Especially the crocodile and ostrich.
“And don’t worry if there are more guests than expected — the recipe serves 80 to 100.” 🤣
Damn, [here’s the pot they’re talking about](https://youtu.be/1fVwoquZuU4?si=xtV6l915IkYr1y_L&t=132).
5 tablespoons of pepper for a camel, lamb and 20 chickens…… seems legit.
That’s an expensive meal
Does anyone else feel like their grocery only ever has large camels?
All I want to know is – Has Ruth ever cooked this dish and more importantly has she ever eaten it?
The blue star next to it is *chef’s kiss.*
I love the medium size camel part, as if anywhere has multiple whole camels to choose from.
Hey art teacher…can I borrow the kiln? No I am not making any pots… I am catering my cousins bat mitzvah
Whoa Black Betty, camle lamb
Whoooooa oh black Betty, camel lamb
Calm down guys, it’s a joke. 🙂

I recommend reading the book. It’s beautiful.
I had camel meat at a restaurant in Detroit. Green Dot Stables. It was prepared as a sloppy Joe. So I couldn’t really taste anything different than a normal sloppy Joe. But the couple we ate with, the wife’s favorite animal was a camel. She was so pissed at her husband for eating camel with me.
Then we saw Queen with Adam Lambert. Memorable night. End of Story.
Where did she find a camel in Michigan?
About 2000kilos of food, 5 tablespoons of pepper
