I always trusted Dev 1 to deliver a fantastic remake, as they already did with RE2. We’re only one week away!
I can’t wait. I haven’t been this excited for a game ever and I played the original to death. I just hope they’ve kept it 99% the same because it was perfect. Terrifying, heart pounding boss fights, is that thing going to come to life? Yup. You bet it is! Crazy ride right up until the end credits.
I wonder if that game still had goofy stuff. I hope they kept it, it is part of charming. I hope that they don’t cut any content as they did to the RE3 remake. I am glad the RE4 remake looks incredible.
And here i am trying to beat horizon forbidden west and somehow play 6, 7, 8 remakes 2 and 3 before tbis launches 🗿
Indeed it has! RE2 Remake stands as one of my fave horror game remakes, and the hits keep coming. So hyped for Silent Hill 2 remake.

Remakes everywhere, not really that great
I have never played a single Resident Evil game and I don‘t know anything about it. Do I have to play the other parts to play this or are there different storys?

Now let’s hope they Remake Code Veronica and RE Outbreak series!!! And RE5 it’s still a fun coop game, plus I love the Boulder punching QTE
I’ll take remakes, remasters and ports. Anything to get my old favorite games on modern consoles and digital options for the first time too for some titles. 👍
Can you still call 4 survival horror? I’d put it way more on the action side
This is making me incredibly hyped. RE4 deserved a good remake. I’ve played the original like 10 times on different platforms. Apparently, it’s made by the same developers of the RE2 remake, and that remake is one of the best I’ve ever played. It’s almost unfair to call it a remake, since it feels like a whole new game while retaining the core mechanics of the original.

I didn’t like the original RE4 so I think I’ll pass on the remake for now and wait to see if I’m actually interested in playing it after some time.
I tried the demo and I’ll be damn … 18 years later … this game is still able to bring the horror to me. I was traumatized and excited at the same time when I heard that horrible chainsaw.
I was screaming, laughing, crying, and filled with adrenaline. It’s like falling in love and meeting your crush, but being afraid of if I got rejected. Damn even the demo was so great. It’s like nostalgia but somehow it tastes so different.
I just forgot RE 5 – 7 exists. 18 years and that little boy that scared of the chainsaw… he came back.
I’m one of those who see “must play” reviews prior to launch as more than a little sus…
My best advice to any human being would be to play this game as soon as you can. only Ninja gaiden, Metal gear, Dark Souls or Hollow Knight could compare….. this is incredible

Looking forward to trying the remake. I know the original was extremely popular but I wasn’t a fan. I was curious if anyone else found the over the shoulder cam annoying? The character seemed to take up too much of the screen!
