Blondie’s lead singer Deborah (Debbie) Harry is shown with Ramones‘ singer Joey Ramone. The photo is from 1977, taken by Chris Stein, Debbie’s boyfriend and guitarist from Blondie. The stuff going on musically in NYC from the mid-70s to the mid-80s was really special. It really had an impact on the stuff that followed as the 20rh century wound down.
Who is Joey Ramon?
So the young’uns don’t save misinformation in their brains: it’s Joey Ramone, not “Ramon”. And Debby Harry is not “known” as Blondie, that is the name of the band she fronted.

She is the lead singer of Blondie. They would not have been the hit factory they were without the other members, especially her partner Chris Stein.
