Damn, this is basically my entire ethos. All these religions, belief systems, theories, mental constructs of reality…they are all superstition at best, straight delusion at worst. Sure, we can obtain a shadow of truth, maybe, usually in the form of mathematical proofs of some kind…but that’s about the extent of it. Whatever your belief system is, it likely hinges on a number of critical points that are in no way objectively verifiable, and could crumble in an instant if one of those structural points are proven to be false.
Not one single human being alive or dead, has *any god damned clue* what life is about, and nothing you discover in this life will get you even one iota closer to the real objective truth about the fundamental existential questions we have; where we come from, why we’re here, where we’re going. The only thing that matters, the only tangible thing, is what you do with your power while you’re here. The only thing we’ve ever come across that even has the tiniest resemblance to what we might think is truth is unconditional love for ourselves, and one another.
