Now that everyone been checking it out and playing it, if you get the chance try out its sequel on the ps2.
True, and a great O.S.T too !
I used to love this game! Great nostalgia trip. Thank you!
I bought this for the FF8 demo, stayed for the fun as hell Square Zelda clone~
LOVED the “action figure” collectibles in the game. I spent an insane amount of time getting them.
Loved that game as a child/teenager. It’s really a gem.
“Overlooked gem” comments like these make me laugh. Brave Fencer isn’t a overlooked gem, it sold 3 quarter million copies it’s first release year and has high marks on most gaming mags at the time. This rates with comments like “anyone ever play this game?” And it’s a picture of Skyrim or GTAV.
I keep downloading this along with an emulator… but I lose track of time.
Yea I still enjoy it from time to time. Good to have not sold everything
I remember playing this when my father bought it for me. Neither parent wanted to buy a memory card though so none of the game could be saved and I just beat the tower at the beginning and boss fight in the castle town every time. Was sad that I could never get farther than that.
This was such a great game! I’m sure that if Square decided to keep making them, it would have been successful (the PS2 game was not nearly as good as this one)
Man I loved this game as a kid, played a demo of it over and over and fell in love with it. Got this and Tomb Raider 3 for my birthday not long after. Then I noticed the game came packed with a demo disc of Final Fantasy 8 and thats how I got introduced to the series. Damn I miss these days..
I would love to see a remake of it. It’s one of my favourites.
I still play through this game every couple of years. Absolute 10/10!
A few years ago, I was sitting at work and had a an epiphany.
“OH SHIT! Alucaneet like a fucking buffet.”
Perfect game for a remake, as long as they just improve visuals.
Why the roblox man face
I played the hell outta the demo
I like how it gives the dick kick option ok the bottom right there
I think of it as an example of where there’s a character (Jon) that Steve Blum was not yet typecast to have a gravelly deep voice.
Now all we need is Circlehard
“You little turd!”
Holy crap i almost forgot this gem 💎
I was honestly kinda disappointed in this game. I really wanted the combat to be deeper.
One of the first games I ever played and I loved it.
Frost Dragon and Fire Keeper’s OST are dope.
Reminds me of Mystical Ninja
Man I freaking love this game
I feel for the youngsters who didn’t get to live through the Squaresoft 90’s golden age. Especially the PS1 era. So many creative new concepts! JRPG fans were eating good.
