The Heavy Metal Soundtrack has no heavy metal on it.
Get your one way ticket to midnight
I rented this at blockbuster video😜
You are not ready for my daughter’s awesome bewbage!
My parents got my little brother a Barney video and this was taped over instead.
Probably the greatest animated movie ever made…
When life loses its value and is taken for naught, then the pact is…
To Avenge.
Can they call that a fight though?
I loved this movie when I was a kid. I wonder why?
I used to have the Laserdisc of this movie!
I’m ready to cheese!
That’s a second degree murder charge where I’m from
She was, indeed, through bein’ cool.
Did they reference live action to make the animation fluid? And before reddit can’t handle that question, did they act out scenes to reference their own live action?
I was 8 when this came out – and I recall not being allowed to watch it. Way too hardcore for my developing mind.
Holy shit someone actually cleaned a sword before putting it into a scabbard? First time in cinema history?
Well damn. Now I gotta break out the [Devo](https://youtu.be/UkLQ9ksuZKo) records.
I think this is from the sequel I have watched this move a ton and have never seen this bar fight.
ELIMINATE THE NINNIES AND THE TWITS
WE’RE THROUGH, BEING COOL
Loc-nar! The Loc-nar. Aaargh…<melts>
I love Joel Haver but sometimes his sense of humor doesn’t mesh with me.
i approve
When your target audience is young boys, scantily dressed women & dinosaurs never fails.
After a bar fight like that I bet she could use some nyborg to unwind.
The Heavy Metal movie really kicked off the whole movie compilation soundtrack industry. Total game changer.
Unusually slow, smooth movements.
Too bad we can’t make stuff like this anymore
What was the more recent animation inspired by this that followed multiple protagonists until they died by an antagonist who became the new protagonist, repeatedly?
we’re through
bein’ cool!
Ah, the days of actual animation rather than the CGI garbage that passes for it today.
sigh.
There some great BTS stuff for this scene, and others, from the blu-ray:

I remember sneak watching this on like 2 volume late at night when I was a young teen. It’s the first time I heard a penis been refereed to as a dong. Oh and that white haired warrior woman! What a glorious bush on her.
I loved this film as a teenager and still do. The Blu-ray is in The Cabinet of Wonder just in case I want to take a trip back. Classic stuff.
Never bring a fist to a sword fight
Is there a more adult version of this sort of video?
Recommendations?
Oh man. Snuck into the theater with some friends to see this. Thanks for reminding me of an awesome lost memory.
Not the video I wanted to see during NNN.
