This is Chynara Madinkulova demonstrating an ancient Scythian archery tactic meant to intimidate enemies. Which would be pretty intimidating tbh. One would think if they can do this. Then standard archery is an absolute cake walk. Cant imagine the amount of training required to actually be accurate with the shot.

What is wild to me is that even the best of these archers today aren’t as good as the generic Mongol archer under Temujin. Shooting birds and mice from horseback for survival every day granted a proficiency that no amount of practice, impressive though it is, could grant.
