“Casablanca will never catch on like Algiers.”
“I know, it’s a longshot. But let’s make the thing anyway.”
Even though I laugh a bit whenever I think how wrong the people who made Casablanca were about the instant classic it’d become when nobody has even heard of its inspiration I still have always wanted to see Algiers. No sane heterosexual woman can deny Charles Boyer.
I’ve never seen this, thanks for posting
The film that made Hedy Lamarr a star in the United States, and which played a major role in shaping Charles Boyer’s image!
